Core & foundation subjects

Key Stage 1 follows the UK National Curriculum. Learning becomes more structured, with dedicated lessons across core and foundation subjects.

📘 English

Phonics consolidation, guided and independent reading, sentence-level grammar, and structured creative writing.

🔢 Mathematics

Place value to 100, addition/subtraction methods, introduction to multiplication and division, fractions, money, and measurement.

🔬 Science

Working scientifically through hands-on investigation — plants, animals, materials, and seasonal change.

🎨 Art & Design / 🎵 Music

Developing technique in drawing, painting, and sculpture; singing, rhythm, and introduction to instruments.

💻 Computing

Basic digital literacy, algorithmic thinking through unplugged activities, and safe use of technology.

🌍 Geography & 🏛️ History

Local and global awareness — maps, seasons, significant people and events in an age-appropriate, story-led way.

🤸 PE & 🗣️ Foreign Language

Fundamental movement skills, games, and gymnastics; early exposure to Thai or another foreign language.
